LAPP Tannehill hires Rachel Burress as Sales Operations Rep to streamline processes, analyze data, and support tools for optimizing sales team efficiency.

Where did you go to college and what did you major in?
I attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas and graduated with a BS in Electrical Engineering and Master’s in Engineering Management.

What are past positions you've held in your career?
And what skills/experience do you bring to this position?  In the past, I worked for a defense contractor, starting as a System Engineer and working my way to Program Manager.  I have over 14 years’ experience in ground and air defense systems.

What’s something new you’re hoping to learn in this role?
I look forward to learning new sales strategies and gaining more knowledge in Lapp Tannehill’s extensive product lines.

What’s your favorite part about working in your field?
My favorite part is working one-on-one with customers, offering the best support with a quick turnaround, and leaving them with the knowledge that LAPP Tannehill is the best distributor to go to.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work? What are your hobbies/passions?
I enjoy traveling, reading, cooking, and coaching soccer for my daughter’s team. We have two kids that keep us busy running between taekwondo, soccer, and now basketball.

What’s something surprising about you that most people wouldn’t guess?
I love to organize and am obsessed with all kinds of organization gadgets and shows like Tidying Up on Netflix.

Do you have a hidden talent or skill you’d like to share?
I have a minor in Spanish and took my first trip on an airplane to Spain when I turned 16.

What is one thing that motivates you every day?
This quote from Michael Jordan inspires me daily, “Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, and others make it happen.”

If you could give your younger self advice, what would it be?
Don’t give up… take a step back, reset, and try again!
