Meet Ally

Welcome Ally to the Lapp Tannehill family! She's our new Inside Sales Rep!

Where are you from & where do you live now?
I'm from Bloomington, MN and I still live there now!

Pets/Family?
I have one younger brother named Ryan. My extended family all live in MN so we are close and love spending time together.

What are your hobbies?
In the fall time I enjoy visiting Duluth and hiking along the north shore. I like to stay active by going to the gym with my friends and running outside in the summer.

What motivates you to do better in life?
I'm motivated by learning new things, interacting with different types of people, and having a supportive team (whether it be coworkers, relatives, or friends.) Hard work and determination help me achieve my goals and greater professional success.

What kind of experience are you bringing to your new position?
I graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth in May 2020 with a bachelor's degree in Marketing and Sales. I completed a direct sales internship last summer and was a leader of the UMD sales club.

If you could give your younger self advice, what would it be?
Try to meet and connect with as many people possible. Networking brings so many great opportunities that would've otherwise been missed. Push yourself out of your comfort zone!

What are you excited about at Lapp Tannehill?
I'm looking forward to working with customers and developing new skills in my position. I'm excited to learn more about the industry and my role.

Meet Melissa

Welcome Melissa to the Lapp Tannehill family! She's our new Senior Digital Marketing Specialist!

Where are you from & where do you live now?
I was born and raised in Minnesota and live in the Twin Cities suburbs.

Pets/Family?
No pets or kids of my own but I enjoy spending time with my 5 year old niece.

What are your hobbies?
I like to read, watch movies, and do kickboxing. I've been kickboxing for over 6 years.

What motivates you to do better in life?
Building meaningful connections with people and helping my friends and family.

What kind of experience are you bringing to your new position?
I've been working in the industrial B2B world since 2011, with over 5 of those years specifically in marketing. With my free time, I've recently become interested in web accessibility and how to make websites more accessible to people with disabilities which has come in very handy as I continue to work in digital marketing.

If you could give your younger self advice, what would it be?
Remember to be silly, honest, and kind.

I'm looking forward to seeing how Lapp Tannehill can continue to grow and expand their reach, especially in the digital world.

Meet Kassie

Welcome Kassie to the Lapp Tannehill family! She's our new Senior Digital Marketing Specialist!

Where are you from & where do you live now?
Born in Anchorage AL, from Savage MN, and currently living in Cottage Grove MN

Pets/Family?
Recently married in October 2020 to my husband, Alec. We have 2 Australian Shepherds, Ava and Dexter, whom we're obsessed with.

What are your hobbies?
I love cooking, gardening, traveling, camping, hiking, fishing, reading, and house projects. Home renovation projects are therapeutic for me.

What motivates you to do better in life?
Recognition and praise from others. Peace and happiness for myself.

What kind of experience are you bringing to your new position?
I've been in various marketing, sales, and customer service roles my entire life. I've always found my way back to the  excitement and fast-paced digital marketing world.

I have extensive website management, email marketing, content marketing, and webinar management experience. Writing has always been a passion of mine so the content marketing piece is what I'm great at - not only the content creation, but figuring out how and where to distribute the content is a skill too.

There's something exciting about ranking organically in SEO for a web page or blog.. if you can get more traffic to your website organically, then the easier it is for your customer to find what they're looking for.

If you could give your younger self advice, what would it be?
Don't let others control your self worth.. and don't forget to stand up for yourself. If you don't, then who else will?

What are you excited about at Lapp Tannehill?
I'm very excited for Marketing to continue to ramp up our digital presence to be able to provide the best content for our prospects and customers.
