Lapp Tannehill Hires New Quality Manager

Lapp Tannehill hires a new Quality Manager at headquarters in Savage, MN with Quality, Auditing, and Field experience. Welcome Tracy Davis to our team!

Where are you located? I live in South Minneapolis.

Pets/Family? I have a husband, Michael; son, Hunter (22 yrs old); daughter, Marissa (20 yrs old); and 3 obnoxious dogs. Pretty sure that my kids' soul purpose in life is to drive me insane. Their motto is "let's see if we can make mom snap today". I wish I was kidding.

What are your hobbies? I love to work with wood. I have a wood shop in my basement and enjoy everything from re-staining an antique dresser to building something from design. I am currently working on a dog house design in SolidWorks and hope to have the dog house built by the end of the summer.

I also love to cook. I have my favorite cooking shows and cookbooks and will make every dish until they are perfect. My husband loves this hobby/obsession. In the summer my husband I take the dogs and will walk a 10K along Minnehaha Creek to Lake Nokomis.

What are past positions you've held in your career? UL for 18 years as a Sr Field Representative and an Auditor. Twin City Plating for 5 years as a Quality Manager.

What motivates you to do better in your personal and professional life? Other than morning lattes? My own mistakes. I definitely have a lot to learn from, but I strive to be better with every lesson I have learned.

If you could give your younger self advice, what would it be? For goodness sakes stop for 2 seconds and plan that thought out.

What are you excited about at Lapp Tannehill? Happy Hour - I have never been in an office setting where coworkers get together outside of work and get to know each other. Not everyone ticks the same and getting to know the different personalities helps me understand how to interact with them. It makes collaboration considerably easier when you truly know their personality.
