LAPP Tannehill Hires District Sales Manager for the West

LAPP Tannehill hires a District Sales Manager to manage accounts in California and Nevada. Welcome Marc Tousignant to the team!

Where did you go to college and what did you major in?
I went to College at Cal State Fullerton & Univ of Phoenix and achieved a BS in Business Management.

What are past positions you've held in your career? And what skills/experience do you bring to this position?
In the past I have worked with Alpha Wire and SAB Cable and have over 15 years’ experience in wire & cable. I’ve worked as both a sales rep and a sales manager.

What’s something new you’re hoping to learn in this role?
In this role I would like to learn the automotive and aero space markets and OEM’s.

What’s your favorite part about working in your field?
My favorite part about sales is the people and helping people is satisfying.

If you could switch careers for a day, what would you do?
If I could switch careers for the day, I would want to be a Pro Surfer and have a perfect wave to myself for that day!

What do you enjoy doing outside of work? What are your hobbies/passions?
I am single and my daughters are grown so I have many hobbies that I enjoy often such as surfing, golfing, mountain biking, backpacking the high Sierras, classic car building, and music.

Do you have a favorite book, movie, or TV show at the moment?
My favorite book now is “Men to Move My Mountains” by Irvine Stone.  It’s about westward expansion in the 1800’s.

Do you have a hidden talent or skill you’d like to share?
I am extremely mechanical and good at building high-performance motors.

If you could give your younger self advice, what would it be?
If I could talk to young Marc, I would tell him to not sweat the small stuff…
