Automotive Ethernet Cabling
Automotive Ethernet is available in jacketed or un-jacketed and shielded or unshielded variations. Smaller sizes are more commonly used in passenger vehicles, while larger more rugged sizes are used in commercial vehicles.
Key requirements include:
- Data rates of 100BASE-T1 and 1000BASE-T1
- Maximum node lengths of 15 meters for 100BASE-T1 and 15 meters / 20 meters for 1000BASE-T1
- Temperature ranges up to 105 degrees Celsius
