Quarterly Newsletter

December, 2009

3 logo newsletter

Dear Monica,

Welcome to Lapp Tannehill's quarterly newsletter.  As the Holiday season approaches, our many snowmobile enthusiasts are hoping that the snow flies early and often in Minnesota, while the warm weather enthusiasts (me), are hoping for a mild winter that lasts about two weeks.  Just as the weather is ever changing, so is the economy as we see increased activity in both our domestic and international markets.  We sincerely hope that your organization and industry are seeing light at the end of the economic tunnel as we navigate through the remainder of 2009.

It is our intent through this newsletter to introduce you to our suppliers, product offerings and value add services.  I encourage you to "click" on any of the links in this newsletter or access us at www.lapptannehill.com to get a better understanding of our product offering and supplier base, which are too numerous to address in this short message.  As you look through the letter and have ideas on any manufacturer or product group that you would either like more information on or to have us profile in an upcoming newsletter, please contact us with your feedback.

Thank you for business in 2009 and from all of us at Lapp Tannehill we wish you and your families a safe and happy Holiday Season.

Sincerely,

Mark Babcock

President

Olflex3M VFD Slim

Olflex VFD Slim

Reduced Diameter VFD Cable

New product from Lapp Tannehill and Lapp USA  is the Olflex VFD Slim, a reduced diameter shielded motor supply cable for variable frequency drives.  This cable has a specially blended PVC jacket that is TC approved for both UL and CSA standard for 600 volts.

The unique VFD Slim design is different when compared to other VFD motor supply cables, due to the  "Lapp Surge Guard", a special semi-conductive insulation.  This special material smooths out the stranded copper, disperses increases in voltage caused by wave reflections, harmonics and spikes, preventing conductor and cable failure, thus ELIMINATING downtime.  Read on for additional information:  VFD Slim spec sheets and literature

We'd like to introduce you to  one of the many people that makes things happen at Lapp Tannehill.  Brendan  Antony is our senior buyer, and has been at Lapp Tannehill for 5 years. He is most commonly known as the ROHS and REACH expert.  Any request that comes in regarding ROHS, REACH, Nafta certs, certificate of origin, are sent in his direction, and he is on the task! He also tracks copper on a daily basis, updating the sales people on trends, what's going to happening tomorrow, and tries to predict the future. Brendan's hobbies used to be playing and watching volleyball, but now his hobby is just trying to get enough sleep. Brendan is the father of twin boys that were born in February, 2009, and they certainly keep him on his toes!
